Goshindo Tameshigiri sword instruction includes how to safely and correctly wield a Japanese shinken (live blade) as used in test cutting. You will learn test cutting patterns using various sword sizes, lengths and weights which will upon execution give an awesome experience.
You will execute the various diagonal, horizontal and vertical cuts, including the famous roku-dan-giri and happo-giri cutting series with a Japanese steel (shinken) sword. You will also learn how to roll, tie and cure tatami mats for use in test cutting using either short swords (wakizashi), long swords (katana) or military swords (gunto).
